The National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) has named Johns Hopkins Credit Union (JHCU) employee Laura Boling, Organizational Development Manager, as one of the next Credit Union Development Educators of 2026. Along with 52 leaders from across the United States, the group has earned this designation after completing the Foundation’s signature Credit Union Development EducationTM (DE) program.

Delivered as an immersive week-long, in-person experience, the DE program offers a transformative learning journey designed to strengthen leadership to improve financial well-being. Through collaborative group work, experiential learning, and interactive discussions, participants deepen their connection to the cooperative model while exploring how credit unions can create meaningful impact in their communities.

"We are incredibly proud of Laura for earning this prestigious designation as a Credit Union Development Educator," said Keith C. O'Neil Jr., CEO of JHCU. "The insights and leadership skills she gained through the DE program directly strengthen our mission to improve the financial well-being of every member we serve. Laura's commitment to the cooperative model reflects what we value most at Johns Hopkins Credit Union, and her work will help us create even greater impact across the communities we serve.”

With this credential, Laura is well-positioned to support JHCU’s mission by helping equip teams to put cooperative principles into action, emphasizing service, member well-being, and community impact, in ways that enhance members’ lives and financial well-being. She joins a community of more than 3,400 credit union advocates from 35 countries who have graduated from the U.S. DE program since its launch in 1982.
